A lot learned for Pedercini in two day Jerez test

Pedercini Racing SC-Project were able to make some strong steps towards their 2017 campaign at Circuito de Jerez this week, and didn’t let weather conditions prevent them from heading out on track.

Joining a new team for this season, San Marinese rider Alex De Angelis was keen to get as much time out on track as possible in order to fully understand his Kawasaki machine. Following on from testing at Almeria last week, the feeling continues to be positive for the 32 year old.

Working through the problems encountered, De Angelis explains: “We had two days of testing with weather in charge. We had to stop for a couple of hours on the first day because of the rain and I couldn’t do anything besides laps. On the second day it never stopped raining, but we decided to still go out and the results were great. At the beginning we had some problems but then we did really a good job, thank you to the Kawasaki engineers that come with the private teams. We worked really hard on the bike and electronic set up and we ended the test with a great time. It was useful to get to know both the bike and team better, and we are starting to get our know-how.”

European Superstock 1000 Championship Pedercini SC-Racing’s Jeremy Guarnoni was also present at the test, and despite being halted by the rain he was able to get some solid laps in.

French youngster Guarnoni explained: “This has been a positive test but unfortunately because of the rain I had to stop for a couple of hours. Lap times are better than Almeria, and the different assets and upgrades we tried make me feel really confident with the bike. I feel positive we will reach some of our goals this year. “
